For those who suffered the latest agony at HSB ferry terminal, may I suggest the Gleneagles complex?
There lies the Community Centre and the newly opened Golf Course Clubhouse, both of which are public facilities. There is plenty of parking in the adjacent areas provided you don't stay too long. The police generally turn a blind eye to parking infractions in unusual situations such as ferry mishaps or heavy snow fall.
It takes fifteen minutes to walk downhill from Gleneagles to the ferry terminal.
