Tough winter ahead?

Tough winter ahead?

With the November Storms in full effect on Bowen, my thoughts turn to the type of winter we can expect for the rest of the season. It would appear that another La Nina has returned (two in a row) and we can expect a winter like last year, which was the most “wintry” in 25 years.

An Winter forecast update will be available on Monday Nov 20 from the same source.

While researching the web for the forecast I came across this item:
[issues.org]

An excellent article on the “politicization” of science and how the “us vs them” has seeped into environmental research and corrupted the search for truth. The article contains a good example at the end that portrays the trouble Dr. Clifford Mass, meteorologist at University of Washington, has gotten into: even though he is in the progressive “us” camp of climate science. His weather blog is followed by many on Bowen and has been discussed on the Bowen Phorum before.
